The Lantra Group
The Lantra Group
At Lantra, we’re all about making sure businesses within the sector have the right people, with the right skills, in the right place, at the right time.
We lead the way in identifying, developing and maintaining quality products, services and solutions to meet the diverse needs of businesses.
We proactively promote the land-based and environmental sector as the career of choice, knowing the importance of attracting new people into the sector. We work rigorously with employers to set the standards and define qualifications to ensure our industries are professional and world-class. And we recognise the professional skills of the workforce through Continued Professional Development (CPD).
We do all of this by conducting extensive research; providing robust information and intelligence that allows us to fully understand the needs of businesses. From this information, we can see what skills, products, services and solutions are needed to ensure our sector is successful and up-to-date.
UK Board
The Lantra Group is run by our UK Board which draws members from our industries and business partners. It provides strategic leadership that understands and is sensitive to our industries’ needs. Our trustees provide the vision and agree our Strategic and Business Plans, meeting four times a year.
They also ensure the financial stability of the Lantra Group of Companies, making annual returns to Companies House and the Charity Commissioners.
The Board has three sub-committees.
Nominations and Governance Committee
Lantra has good governance and a positive culture. We nominate candidates to fill Board vacancies and make sure we have a balance of trustees’ skills, knowledge and experience. We review the leadership needs of the organisation so we can achieve our strategic objectives.
Audit Committee
Ensures Lantra has sound financial management and the right internal controls and systems in place. This includes risk management and whistle blowing policies.
Human Resources Committee
Agrees the remuneration of executives and non-executives based on performance against SMART objectives.
