How do I report an accident?

All accidents must be reported to Lantra Awards. Some accidents must be reported to the HSE under Riddor - visit the HSE website.

How does Lantra Awards quality assure centres?

Corporate centres and those offering verified qualifications receive an annual audit by an External Verifier. Others are audited every 3 years.

How does Lantra Awards quality assure instructors?

Freelance instructors are subject to an audit visit every 3 years. Corporate instructors are quality assured by the centre and sampled by the External Verifier at centre visits

How long do Training Providers have to return course materials for booked places?

28 days from the end date of the course.

How long does it take to receive certificates or cards?

Our standard turnaround time is 10 working days from the receipt of paperwork to issue certificates or cards to our training providers or centres, who then distribute them to candidates who attended the course or assessment programme.

How long does the qualification take?

Assessment is carried on-site over a period of time. This usually takes between 3 months and 9 months but can take up to 18 months/2 years depending upon the skills of the candidate and the type of work they have access to. There is however a minimum period of 10 weeks between the Centre registering a candidate and claiming their certificate ? this is a requirement of the regulatory bodies QCA and SQA.

How much does the NVQ or SVQ cost?

The registration fee is what we charge to centres, they will add on additional assessment fees. Please therefore discuss this with a range of the assessment centres directly.

How much is a replacement Lantra Awards Certificate or Card?

Technical Awards: Certificate & Card £20.00 + VAT
National Highway Sector Schemes: Certificate: £22.00 + VAT
Card: £47.00 + VAT
VRQ: Certificate: £15.00 + VAT Game Meat ID Card £15.00 + VAT
Falconry: Certificate: £15.00 + VAT

How much notice must a training provider give to order a course?

10 Working days, if the order is placed within 5 working days or less there will be a late order charge. It takes 3 working days for delivery from the date of despatch of the materials.
Please note that materials for orders placed before 2.30pm each day will be despatched the following working day. Orders are processed only once per day after this time.

I would like dates and costs for a course, where can I find the information I need?

You will need to contact a training provider who will be able to advise you of costs and dates. Training provider details can be found on the relevant course page.
