Trainee FISS/CSCS Card (Red)

This is the first FISS/CSCS card you will get. It shows that you have registered for your training, but not yet completed it. It’s also used as an identification card for when you’re training on-site.

Red cards are valid for 3 years from the date of issue. It is expected that we would replace the red card with a skilled card once all the training is completed. We cannot renew red cards.

To get this card, you will need to;

• Be registered and working on your Diploma/NVQ/ or SVQ in Fencing or Vehicle Restraint System (VRS) fencing at level 2, 3 or 4

• Have already completed the Lantra Awards Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness course for Supervisors and Managers (CSLA38X levels 3 and 4) or equivalent within 2 years prior to applying for a card. Click here to see a list of accepted equivalents

• Have passed the CS Operative Health and Safety test within 2 years prior to applying for a card. Click here to find out more about the test

• Have current and valid training for each fence type you install

If you would like to apply, you will need to supply us with the information below along with the application form

• Copy of your Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness course for Operatives (CLSA34X) or Supervisors and Managers (CLSA38X)

• Letter confirming your pass on the CS Operative Health and Safety test

• Copy of your VRS Registration number (only needed if you’re applying for the VRS card)

• Good quality passport-sized photo - make sure its on a light background and fixed in the box on the application form

• Application fee of £30

When you have all of these documents, send them to us at the address below and we will process your card as soon as we can.
