Falconry Administration Point

Together with the Hawk Board and with help from professional falconers throughout the UK, we were the first to develop a training course exclusively for the falconry profession - the Beginning Falconry Award.
This Award is suitable to both those new to the profession and experience falconers. It can only be made available through an approved Administration Point, which does exactly what it says - carries out the administration of the Award.
The Role of an Administration Point
An Administration Point will:
-
Maintain assessments until the external verifier has looked at a sample and then release them to the learners
-
Pass certificates to the learner in a timely manner
-
Keep appropriate records of learners
-
Handle enquiries from Lantra Awards
-
Manage invoices
Types of Administration Points
You could become an Administration Point in your own right or can work with another organisation.
For example, if you are likely to have a small number of learners each year than it may be more advantageous to register as an assessor at another larger Administration Point or possibly form a partnership.
If you wish to work with another organisation then the following models may be worth considering:
-
A consortium - where two or more individuals or organisations work together and share costs and responsibility
-
Satellite units - different individuals or units at different locations offering the Award under a single umbrella
