PTP Quality Training Ltd opens new Centre in Hampshire

Female entrepreneurs in the construction industry are pretty rare but Helen Scourfield loves every minute of running her plant, machinery, arboriculture and grounds maintenance training company.

Whether it’s excavators, dumpers, ride-on-rollers, first aid or health and safety training, forklifts, chainsaws or street works, her firm PTP Quality Training organises training and skills programmes for construction companies across the UK.

Fred Dinenage opened PTP Quality Training’s new training and test centre in Shedfield last week which was attended by Barry Lipscomb, Mayor of Winchester and George Hollingbery, MP for Meon Valley.

The event was well attended by Construction, Landscaping and companies seeking both CPCS Heavy Plant, NPORS, Lantra or SQA Street Works Training and the new CSCS Construction Health, Safety and Environment Tests.

The new site consists of several training rooms for indoor events, a computer suite for testing and also a site for practical machinery training.

Helen says. “All of our courses are highly interactive and practical participation brings out the best in everyone.  We have an understanding of the industry, and aim to bring excellent customer service in the training provision to the industry”.

Since choosing Shedfield to site her new centre, Helen has taken on local staff from office to instructors.

Seeing clients come back again and again is “extremely rewarding,” she says, and she is committed to building lasting partnerships in Hampshire.

All courses are certified and award nationally recognised qualifications.
