Lesley Barr - Product Manager

Lesley heads up the Product Development team which was created at Lantra Awards in 2008. Prior to her employment at Lantra Awards Lesley worked for OCR (awarding body) as a Subject Officer with responsibilities of managing a portfolio of qualifications for GCSE Health and Social Care and National qualifications to ensure that new specifications and assessment material were developed and procedures in place to ensure the effective operation of each exam cycle.

Previous to this role Lesley spent six years with the Adult Learning Inspectorate with main responsibilities of managing the inspection planning and deployment service.

Lesley also managed and co-ordinated the transfer of critical business knowledge to Ofsted as part of the transition and the implementation of a new business unit within the new inspectorate.

Lesley was twice awarded outstanding performance for her contribution to the inspection management system project and the introduction of new business processes required to deliver the second cycle of the inspection programme.

Contribution to system developments and verification of data and reporting issues of the organisations key performance indicators.

Prior to working at the Adult Learning Inspectorate/Ofsted Lesley spent five years working for the British Horse Society.

Lesley is currently working towards a MA in Management Practices.

Gilly Napier - Product Development Manager

Gilly joined the Product Development team at Lantra Awards at the beginning of September 2008. As an experienced Project Manager, her role is to ensure the delivery of high quality Technical Award courses for the environmental and land-based sector.

Gilly has an extensive skill set which she has developed over the years due to variety of different roles that she has held. Having spent some 15 years in banking she left to study for an Honours Degree in Computer Science and hasn?t looked back since. Most recently, she was part of the LSC funded National Learning Network team at Becta project managing the development of elearning materials for the Post 16 Sector and hopes that this is the way forward for some of the future courses at Lantra Awards.

Caroline Young - Product Development Manager

Caroline joined Lantra Awards in September 2008 as a Product Development Manager. Her role is to ensure that Lantra Awards product range is constantly update to meet industry needs and project manage Technical Awards from the stage of rationale through to product launch.

Her previous career history includes working for a major player in the Financial Services industry as a project manager, implementing technological advancements, and more recently in the exhibition industry as an account manager, developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients. Her diverse industry experience along with the passion for the outdoor life will prove most valuable in the development and implementation of courses.
