Shoot Organisation and Management: Risk Assessment and Health & Safety Planning (Level 3)
A vocational, skills based qualification designed for candidates with significant levels of experience/knowledge of the shooting industry. The emphasis is on standards at a professional level of shoot administration/management.
Duration of Course
2 days integrated training and assessment
Course Contents:
Day 1 - Generic
- Health & safety legislation
- Risk assessment procedures
- Safety planning and administration
- Obligations and responsibilities for employers
Day 2 – Specialist Route
- Organising shoot based safety (field or clay target route)
- Use of shoot based vehicles
- Applied risk assessment (field or clay target route)
- Applied health & safety (field or clay target route)
- Security issues
- Managing shoot activity (field or clay target route)
Course Outcome:
Successful students will receive a Lantra Awards certificate and photocard recognised within the Land-based industries.
