Shotgun Coaching: Advanced (Level 3)

A vocational, skills based qualification designed for candidates with significant levels of experience and knowledge of shotgun coaching techniques.  Absolute emphasis will be placed on professional standards throughout, with particular regard for levels of safety across the full scope of the shotgun coaches’ remit.

Course Contents:

• Shotgun – safe handling and use
• Coaching techniques (advanced level)
• Coaching safety procedures
• Applied risk assessment
• Applied health & safety
• Developing coaching programmes
• Gun fitting (stage III)

Course Outcome:

Successful students will receive a Lantra Awards certificate and photocard recognised within the Land-based industries.

Dependent on the individual candidate
