Lantra Awards offers training in trailer handling for those wishing to update their skills and/or satisfy H & S legislation regarding the Safe Use of Trailers at work
Who is the course for
Anyone required to take the trailer test for towing on the road, and to tow trailers off-road as part of their work.
Duration of the course?
One-day integrated training and assessment course for a maximum of three people. Trainees must have completed the basic trailer handling course, hold a full driving licence and a 4x4 Professional Off Road Driving Certificate or equivalent.
Course Content
The course will cover:
- Risk assessment for towing off-road
- Legal requirements (HASW Act & P.U.W.E.R '98)
- Off-road techniques
- Vehicle/trailer checks
- Driving off-road laden and unladen
- Assessment of individual performance and feedback
