We have a new Firewood Processors ITA (Integrated training and assessment) course that will be available to learners early in 2010 (CLFP01X).
The aim of the training and combined assessment is to ensure successful learners have adequate knowledge and understanding to be able to operate a Firewood Processor and perform routine safety checks.
We are keen to hear from instructors who are suitably qualified and who wish to gain approval to deliver this new course. Should you be interested, we’d love to hear from you. Contact the approvals team on approvals@lantra-awards.co.uk for more information.
How do I become approved to deliver Firewood Processors?
For existing instructors you will need to complete and return the declaration of interest/experience form together with a payment of £75+ VAT to Lantra Awards, approvals team by the 4th January 2010. This charge is an adding skills administration and telephone interview fee and applies when instructors wish to increase the number of skills that they wish to instruct in.
Once your declaration of interest/experience form has been received, Lantra Awards will write to you providing details of the Technical Standards Verifier (TSV) assigned to take your application forward.
You don’t need to be from a Forestry and Arboriculture background; however, you will need to submit a copy of your HSE approved First Aid at Work certificate together with your application if we do not already hold a copy.
Prospective instructors should in the first instance contact the approvals team at Lantra Awards approvals@lantra-awards.co.uk for clarification of the minimum criteria and fee needed to become a Lantra Awards instructor.
