UK Landscape Gardening Competition Results
The WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening Competition, sponsored by Lantra Awards, has announced its Scottish Regional Heat Results & National Finalists.
Gardening Scotland Results
10 students from colleges from Scotland and Northern Ireland battled it out in very hot conditions over two days at Gardening Scotland 2010.
The WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening Competition, sponsored by Lantra Awards, run by The British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) in Association with UKSkills, has proven challenging for all 36 competitors who have taken part throughout the UK. Students all had to solely build a 2x3m garden designed by BALI Award Winning Designer Patricia Fox of Aralia Garden Design and Build, from scratch within 6 hours.
The top 5 students (in order) from Heat 2 at Gardening Scotland:

Robert Stewart, Individual, Oatridge College
Neil Bradley, College of Agriculture and Rural Enterprise
Kristopher Orr, College of Agriculture and Rural Enterprise
Kerrera Macindeor, Individual , Oatridge College
Well done to Ryan Love and Robert Stewart both from Oatridge College who have secured a place in the National Final. Congratulations also to Kerrera Macindeor from Oatridge College who is the top placed female in the competition at only 17 years old”.
National Finalists
Out of the 36 competitors this year, only 8 can go through to the National Final at Malvern Spring Gardening Show 23-26th September. The National Finalists are as follows:

Oliver King, Otley College of Agriculture and Horticulture, Suffolk
The 8 National Finalists will have to build a 6x6m garden, designed by Patricia Fox of Aralia Garden Design and Build, in teams of two (paired randomly). The garden design will be released to competitors 2 months before their competition.
