Falconry training days
We are pleased to announce the organisation of 3 Beginning Falconry Assessor training days coming up before the end of 2007, as you know the Beginning Falconry Award has been around for roughly 2 years and has picked up speed dramatically over the past 12 months. It is because of this we are welcoming new Assessors to complete our course with candidates, being accredited and certificated by Lantra Awards all over the country.
To become an assessor you first need to attend our 1 day Falconry Assessor Training Day. You will be taught the details of each module included, be given recommendations on how to assess your candidates and be taught procedures of certification. Upon passing this course you will need to be affiliated with an AAP (Approved Administration Point) before certification can be created, with whom you work with to manage candidates and liaise with us. You can choose to set up your own AAP or become connected with an already established one; this is done through contact between yourself and the chosen Admin Point. After you start the assessment of candidates, you will be visited by an External Verifier to ensure that standards are being met and candidate workbooks are being used correctly.

- Thursday 1st November - Barony College, Parkgate, Dumfries, DG1 3NE
- Monday 19th November - Lantra House, Stoneleigh Park, Coventry, CV8 2LG
To book a place on a course, you will need to complete both the Assessor Application form, and the Event Booking form.

Once we have received these with payment, they will then be passed on to the Chief External Verifier for final verification and you will receive an email confirmation before the course start date which will include the days schedule (normally 9am-5pm) along with any important information and directions on how to get there.
Full confirmation can only be given upon receipt of the application form and references, if your application is un-successful then all monies paid will be returned.
