What are VRQs?
Vocational Related Qualifications (VRQs) are qualifications located within the National Qualifications Framework. They are related to employment but do not necessarily require work placement. This means that people can undertake training for a different job or a new career, or they may train to advance within their current occupation. Lantra Awards is an approved VRQ awarding body.
Are VRQs fundable?
Centres approved for funding by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) can claim funding for VRQs as they are nationally recognised qualifications listed on section 96 and section 97 (Qualifications approved by the Secretary of State).
