There is a rising demand for qualified plant and machinery operators. Increasingly, contractors are demanding evidence of competence to nationally recognised standards. Rising customer expectations at all levels are driving up standards in plant and machinery operations and fuelling the demand for proven competence through qualifications.
Lantra Awards aims to meet that demand in the land-based sector, by offering the Level 2 NVQ in Plant Operations. The NVQ provides a progressive route to the CPCS from the VRQ Intermediate Certificate in Specialised Plant and Machinery Operations

How do I become an approved centre to offer Lantra Awards NVQ/SVQs?
You need to read the Lantra Awards ' Guidance to NVQ/SVQ Centres ' which contains information to help you complete the application forms and to implement the NVQ/SVQ programme successfully.
You will also need a copy of the relevant NVQ/SVQ specifications.
