This range of courses are primarily knowledge based with a small practical element. They are delivered in a training room with some practical exercises.
Most, but not all, require that trainees have extensive experience in the arboricultural industry.
Some of these courses are non assessed, leading to a certificate of attendance and/or external assessment, and others have integrated assessment with a written examination.
- Thorough examination of arboricultural equipment
(Non-assessed course leading to assessment for NPTC Certificate of Competence)
- Basic tree survey and inspection
(Non-assessed course certificate of attendance)
- Professional tree inspection
(Integrated training and assessment course, with written exam and practical assessment)
- Risk assessment for commercial arboriculture
(Non-assessed course certificate of attendance)
This course is only available through the Arboricultural Association.
- Bats in arboriculture
(Non-assessed course certificate of attendance)
This course is only available through the Bat Conservation Trust.
