Watercourse Management

Details: course for those whose landholding contains a river, stream, open ditch system or canal. Increases understanding of the value of watercourses and the different habitats and species they support. Examines different management solutions to take account of the often conflicting requirements of agriciulture, recreation, country sports and conservation.

Grassland Management

Details: course for those with unimproved or semi-improved grassland on their holding. Provides an insight into the value of grassland, prescriptions for its management and methods of creating new species-rich grasslands.

Moorland Management
Duration: One-day
Details: course looking not only at managing moorland for sport, but also at the management options for maximum conservation value and range of species supported.

Pond Management
Duration:
One-day
Details: course providing an appreciation of the value of ponds and advice on creating and restoring them. Also covers the longer-term management of ponds and measures to encourage specific species and control non-native plants.
