These new Fencing Qualifications have been designed to enable learners to work confidently towards the Level 2 Diploma in Fencing – the professional Qualification identified as essential for the industry. They will improve a learner’s awareness of health and safety legislation and how individuals can contribute to the Health and Safety
Executive agenda.
The Qualifications have the support of Lantra Sector Skills Council and the Fencing Industry Group.
Am I eligible?
Learners must meet the minimum age restrictions of 16 years old
How long will the Qualifications take learners to complete?
The recommended notional learning time for the achievement of a single credit is 10 hours. Each of
these Qualifications is awarded on the achievement of 5 credits (38 Guided Learning Hours).
How do I achieve a Qualification
Learners need to demonstrate that they have met the evidence
requirements for the assessment criteria of each of the individual units. This will be assessed by
undertaking a knowledge-based test set by Lantra Awards.
