Level 3 Diploma in Fencing QCF
Introduction
The Level 3 Diploma in Fencing, is a competency based qualification that is directly mapped to national standards which reflect the working practices of fencing supervisors. The standards were developed by a group representing employers, fencing manufacturers and contractors, training organisations and other organisations with an interest in fencing, such as the Highways Agency and Railtrack.
Who is this course aimed at?
The Level 3 Diploma in Fencing is primarily designed for fencing supervisors.
It is unlikely that the Level 3 Diploma in Fencing will be undertaken by any learners under the age of 18.
What are the objectives of this course?
The qualification aims to give learners the opportunity to develop their skills and demonstrate competence across the full range of activities that fencing supervisors need to be able to do as part of their everyday work. This course is also the major requirement for the FISS CSCS gold card.
What does this course involve?
The qualification allows learners to select units which apply to work as a fencing supervisor. The unitised structure of the qualification also enables continuing professional development activities to be evidenced and certificated for those learners who may not require the full diploma.
On this course you will develop
The knowledge and skills required to carry out the work of a fencing supervisor, and a portfolio of evidence to show competency.
What is the course duration
The recommended notional learning time for the achievement of a single credit is 10 hours.
Level 3 Diploma in Fencing comprises of eight Mandatory Units,
Learners may take slightly less or slightly more time to achieve the number of credits required; the size of the Qualification(s) is based upon notional learning time and represents an average rather than a defined number of learning hours. The qualification cannot be completed in less than 10 weeks.
