Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
This First Aid Qualification is aligned to the
Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations
1981, Health and Safety Executive (HSE),
which were revised on 1st October 2009.
The Regulations require that, in order to
provide first aid to employees who are injured
or become ill whilst at work, employers must
have suitably qualified people, equipment
and facilities.
Are there any age restrictions?
Learners must meet the minimum age restriction of
19 years.
What are the benefits of completing this
Qualification?
This Qualification will enhance the ability of personnel to work safely,
effectively and efficiently in the workplace, reducing unnecessary risks to
themselves and others. It can be tailored to meet the needs and context
of the business.
Additionally the Qualification will ensure personnel and the workplace is complying with HSE
Regulations. It also has the full support of the Sector Skills Council, Skills for Health.
Content of the Qualification
The Qualification consists of one mandatory unit, Emergency First Aid Skills.
Lantra Awards also offer an Emergency First Aid at Work training and assessment course which enables learners to evidence and achieve the Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work. By completing the course, the learner will receive a certificate of basic training ensuring compliance with the Regulations.
How long will the Qualification take to complete?
The Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification is awarded on the achievement of 1 credit (10 Guided Learning Hours) and all credits must come from the mandatory unit.
