Certificate in Introductory Floristry - QCF
This qualification is an excellent route for learners who wish to formally accredit their knowledge and skills within a work related environment.
Who is it aimed at?
It is flexible enough to be used with a wide variety of potential learners including floristry assistants; part-time staff and young learners who may wish to consider Floristry as a career path but are not in a position to undertake formal full-time training. It could also be of value for staff in “multiple” organisations such as supermarkets as well as small floristry businesses.
It aims to provide a small but flexible package so that learners may individually select units that meet their own needs and interests. This Qualification has the full support of Lantra Sector Skills Council.
How do I achieve the Certificate?
The Qualification is gained through a process of continuous assessment. Learners must achieve a minimum of 13 credits; by providing enough evidence to meet the outcomes of the units selected. Evidence may be presented in a number of ways including simple written reports; practical activities; question and answer; learning logs; photographic images and witness statements.
Learners who have successful outcomes at Level 1 may progress onto related National Vocational Qualifications / QCF Qualifications at Level 2 / 3 or 14-19 Specialised Diplomas. Other learners may progress within the workplace in terms of additional skills and responsibilities and be able to add value to the business they work for.
