What is the Level 3 Diploma in Retail Knowledge (Garden Retail)?
This QCF Qualification has been developed to provide the opportunity for learners to formally accredit their knowledge and skills within a garden retail work related environment.
Who is the qualification for?
Potential learners may include individuals working in a garden centres; DIY stores or other retail environments which incorporate elements of garden retail. The Qualification is ideal for those persons looking to achieve formal recognition of their sales practitioner status or further develop their role within the garden retail environment.
How will it help me?
The Qualification will encourage learners to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to support their role(s) and, develop their careers, in a variety of retail situations under minimal guidance or direction. This Qualification has the support of Skillsmart Retail; Lantra SSC and Horticultural Trades Association.
How do I achieve the Diploma?
The Qualification is gained through a process of continuous assessment. Learners must achieve a minimum of 40 credits; by providing enough evidence to meet the outcomes of the units.
Evidence may be presented in a number of ways including written assessments; practical activities; question and answer; learning logs and portfolios; photographic images and witness statements. Learners working through the Horticultural Trades Association will use an interactive workbook designed to meet all the Qualification requirements.
